    We just tryed this place for the first time. This is the best bbq near highlands county. It's a small little spot and the employees are so nice and friendly! We got the brisket grilled cheese, half smoked chicken, pulled pork nachos, and the brisket couch potato. For the sides we got the bbq beans, the apple slaw, cheesy potatos, and corn bread. The meat could have had just a bit more seasoning for my taste but that is just my opinion to others it might be perfect, when i put sauce on it, it was perfect. The chicken breast was a little dry but not horrible. All the sides were perfection! The corn bread was the best I ever had, light, fluffy with a buttery grilled cheese type crisp outside with the perfect amount of sweet. The couch potato was cooked perfect and tender, the filling was delicious and generous. The grilled cheese was soo good as well, the pork nachos were amazing, i only wish they would offer them over home cooked potato chips as well as tortilla chips. All in all, this is my new favorite place to go. you must stop by and give it a try!! Prices are right!! P.s. the sweet tea was super delicious as well!! I tryed to post a pic of the chicken but it didn't let me.

    Best barbecue in central Florida so far. Unassuming little joint outside of town, but a hidden gem. Service was outstanding, both servers were very attentive and in good spirits. Quaint Americana environs, a massive wall-sized American flag and dozens of BBQ trophies adorned the place. Rustic wood paneling, but clean and orderly. No wait on a Saturday night, but most tables were occupied. And everyone in the place (except us, from NY) had distinct Southern accents, we felt transported to another place entirely. Food was outstanding, I got the Big Pig sandwich, and I loved that they chopped the smoked bacon up finely, much more satisfying texturally than whole slices. My partner adored the half chicken. All three sauces were excellent. Favorite collard greens so far, no chunks of meat to detract from the vegetable, as is common down here. Beans were great and unique as well, four different varieties in there: red kidney, small white, Great Northern and black. Delicious. We didn’t get desserts, but they looked amazing. It’s an hour from our house but we’d make the drive again for BBQ.

    Wonderful, Excellent, Perfect Flavors!!! I just made this my must plan to eat here as often as possible. This was my first visit and I ate everything I ordered. Pulled pork juicy and had the right amount of smoke with no fat pieces I often find in other places. Pit beans were too hot to eat so I poured them on the plate to cool off and they were soooo great!!! Green beans had garlic and bacon and perfect combo. Cornbread was great too and a touch of sweet. I highly recommend checking out their hours and plan to eat here. I will definitely be trying everything in the near future. Side note: their dinning area is full of awards for BBQ competitions all over Florida.

    Absolutely impressed. We enjoy finding new places in the middle of nowhere (hole-in-the-wall). Quiet, friendly and comfy atmosphere. The brisket and baked beans were the absolute BEST I have ever had. The sweet BBQ sauce is highly recommend on the meat. All sauces are homemade. Lastly, make sure you save room for the dessert!

    Some of the best barbecue I've had in my entire life. Pork was piled high on the sandwich, and I literally couldn't choose just one sauce because they were all so good. People in my group got loaded Mac n Cheese, nachos, and grilled cheese, and everything was incredible. Somewhere I will greatly look forward to returning to next time I'm in the area.

    Review is really a 4.5. The ambiance was quaint with a comfortable feel. Americana and BBQ decor everywhere. The service was excellent and we were well taken care of. I had the brisket platter with mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole. The brisket was tender and tasty and the mac and cheese was tremendous!!! One suggestion would be on the hashbrown casserole. It was ok but missing something, maybe add more cheese to it? My wife had the couch potato. It was a huge baked potato with brisket, shredded cheese, chives, sour cream, butter, and sweet barbecue sauce. She thoroughly enjoyed it! We had blueberry cheesecake and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. They were both delectable. Sweet tea and an Arnold Palmer were our drinks and they were great. We will come back for sure.

    Our first time there, we ordered take out, to go with our Sunday football game. I had the Pulled Pork Platter and my hubby had the Chicken and Rib Platter...it was awesome. The sides were delicious and I really love their Cornbread as well. Erin and the staff are very hospitable... next time we'll dine in, the restaurant is clean, quaint and nostalgic Delicious BBQ

    Holy smokes! This place is AMAZING! Some of the best BBQ I’ve had in Florida! All the food was amazing, but the stars of the show were the sausage, beans, and Mac n cheese! I could eat here everyday! Very clean, cozy ambiance, and amazing service that made you feel so at home and very reasonable prices with large portions! Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back!
